Henry Preece is finding his life is starting to fade into a summery drowsy twilight of early retirement with his wife Angela. “All my life,” he says, “I’ve either been looking back at happy times that have gone or looking forward to happiness to come”. This elegant and tantalising thriller takes Henry on a journey of mystery and excitement when an unexpected passion is given full rein. Too late Henry realises that the door he’s just flung open should have remained tightly shut. The play does contain some strong language and adult themes.
